Product Description All healers are "energetic" healers, whether they know it or not. Because every health issue has a physical and an energetic component, even a simple physical treatment like bandaging a cut also impacts the body's spiritual, mental, and emotional welfare. The Subtle Body is a comprehensive encyclopedia devoted to the critical world of our invisible anatomy, where so much of healing actually occurs. Compiled by intuitive healer and scholar Cyndi Dale, this 500-page full color illustrated reference book covers: * What is the "subtle body"? New scientific understanding of our quantum-state existence and the unseen fields that determine our physical condition * True integrative care: how combining Eastern energetic modalities with Western scientific rigor yields optimum results * The meridians, fields, and chakras: detailed information and diagrams about the role of these energetic structures in our overall health * Energy-based therapy principles from the world's healing traditions--including Ayurveda, Qigong, Reiki, Quabalah, and many more. For professionals who want to make the leap from being good healers to great ones, one thing is clear: we need to care for every facet of our well-being. With The Subtle Body, practitioners and patients alike now have an unprecedented resource for understanding the physical, energetic, and spiritual elements of human health--for an informed, complete approach to healing.

Chakras should be respected like nuclear bombs.Kundalini like lightning. For knowledge on genuine experience with them read gopi krishna and muktanandas autobiographys. youll hafto have grace and hard inner work to genuine heal with the hands. The new age that says its easy only sells in rich countrys. trying to force the kundalini or chakras awake before the mind is 99 percent pure is very dangerous. meditate pray and make good karma for purity. Be patient and dont expect instant results. never do dangerous breathing exercises or practices

Not My Cup of Tea, but a Five Star Book Nonetheless July 23, 2010 Captain Katie (Long Beach, CA and the Sunny Caribbean) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Cyndi Dale says on the first page of her introduction that this book will make good healers into great ones. I don't know about that. Great healers are great healers, they don't need this book. That being said there is a lot of info here about different kinds of "healing methods", most of which are interesting as all get out, but I'm not a believer.
The illustrations are excellent and even though I disagree with about eighty percent of the stuff between these pages, the book is very well written, very interesting and done with a ton of class. I've had the book for a couple months now, have peaked at every single page, read most of it and just because I don't agree with it is no reason for me not to give it five stars, because this is certainly a five star effort, no matter what you believe in. This is a worthy addition to any library.

Fantasy becomes Reality May 26, 2010 Criss Ittermann (Middletown, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book has been sitting on my Wish List for months. I knew I needed it the moment I saw it. I never looked at the number of pages: I was expecting a 100-page book with loads of pictures and little explanation. I finally ordered, it arrived today, and the first thing I said was "Why is this box so HEAVY?" I pulled it out - and it's more like a softcover college text-book in both its size and the strength of the material it covers.
I am SO blown away. Words can't encompass the beauty and the vastness of this book. I'm a practitioner in multiple disciplines, and this book has everything I could think of. Reiki? it's in there. Reflexology. Check. Mudras. Yes. EFT -- yep. The book is almost 500 pages in beautiful full-color, tons of text, beautiful images, it covers science as well as holistic arts: anatomy, cells, biology, etc. It is so hard to believe that one person compiled and wrote this text. I need this book like I need water, it will help me to no end in my work in writing my next book. I'm almost in tears with gratitude to Cindi Dale for giving us this tremendous -- and much-needed -- gift.
This is a run-don't-walk purchase. I should have put my ipods into hock to get this book sooner. No hesitation-needed. It has only 4 & 5 star reviews for a reason.
