Product Description pick your spot pilates targets the 3 most common trouble spots with 3 gentle yet effective 10 minute pilates workouts to create sleek abs leaner legs & a bikini butt. Studio: Starz/sphe Release Date: 11/11/2008 Run time: 45 minutes Rating: Nr
Amazon.com This Pilates workout's subtitle, "Pick Your Spot," sums up its flexibility; the three 10-minute segments each tone the abdomen, rear, and thighs using Pilates-based exercises. Crammed into each segment are up to 10 exercises. "Belly" features the 100, criss-cross, twist, and mermaid; "Butt" includes swimming, double leg kicks, and leg circles; and "Thighs" offers the frog, front kicks, and leg lifts. While each segment is too brief to challenge veteran exercisers, viewers are free to hit the pause button and add reps. Plus, a 10-minute bonus total-body Pilates workout proves more demanding than the individual segments. L.A. Crunch instructor Ellen Barrett does an excellent job of initiating newbies to the regulated breathing and core muscle control needed for the exactness of this exercise system. However, visual clarity is somewhat hampered by a crowded set of eight exercisers when Barrett and one other person demonstrating the modifications would have been enough. --Kimberly Heinrichs

Great if you are familiar with pilates August 10, 2010 A. Hayes I like this workout and I think it really hits a lot of spots in a short amount of time but if you have never taken a Pilates class you might find it confusing. My husband tried to do the workout and remarked that he didn't understand what was going on. The DVD doesn't explain the moves very much, they just go into them and they don't explain a lot about good form, which is important in Pilates. If you have taken Pilates mat classes and know the basic moves this is a great at-home workout.
Crunch - Pick your spot July 7, 2010 Patricia J. Molenda (Haslett, MI USA) Since it's my first attempt at Pilates, I didn't know what to expect............but I love it! Ellen gives good demonstration, and it's easy to follow and fun. I've done a bit of yoga, and this seems to incorporate the fluidity and calmness of yoga. I'm a happy customer.
Results!!! May 31, 2010 JTD (Charlotte, NC USA) I do this workout 5 to 6 times per week. The length makes it easy to workout, it's only a 1/2 hour. After 2 weeks,I started noticing changes. After a month, I measured myself. I'm still the same weight, but my weight fluctuates and I didn't change my diet. I lost 1.5 inches off my bust, .5 inch off my arms, 2 inches off my waist and 2 inches off my hips. I didn't lose any off my thighs but I do notice that they are more muscular and I don't have that lump of fat on my inside knees anymore. My legs do look leaner. I'm very pleased with this workout and will keep it up. As some have said, the workout does get too easy after a while so I'm going to do what another reviewer recommended and start using ankle weights.

I ordered this over a month ago and still have not received it in the mail! When I got a hold of the seller, they brushed off my concerns and said that I should wait at least a month before contacting them again. I have never had to wait that long for a small package, especially one from only 3 states away.
Great workout May 10, 2010 M. DELUNEY (SAINT PAUL, MN, US) If you just want a great workout, this is the video for you. It may not be perfect Pilates format but I've been doing Ellen Barrett videos for months and just because they don't follow Pilates format to the TEE doesn't mean they don't make a mean lean body. I LOVE THESE VIDS. Do them religiously and you will have a kick-a$$ body.
